What a special year for Flamengo and our coach Jorge Jesus. After winning the Brazilian Championship, the Libertadores Cup, and receiving the Pedro Ernesto Medal at the City Council, yesterday (Thursday, December 13th) the coach was honored with the Tiradentes Medal at the Rio de Janeiro State Legislative Assembly. It's worth noting that it's the highest honor bestowed by the Rio de Janeiro State Legislative Assembly, awarded to individuals with significant public service.

The initiative to honor Jesus came from deputies Alexandre Knoploch (PSL), André Ceciliano (PT and Rodrigo Bacellar (Solidariedade).

In his speech, Jorge Jesus reiterated that Flamengo is not just a club, it is a nation. Our president, Rodolfo Landim, was also honored, receiving the title of Meritorious of the State of Rio de Janeiro.

Flamengo leaves today for Doha, Qatar, where they will compete in the Club World Cup starting on December 17 (Tuesday).
