Jorge Jesus leads first training session at Flamengo
The coach introduced himself to the squad in the morning and carried out activities with the players at Ninho do Urubu

Thursday was a busy day for Flamengo. During the break from competition for the Copa América, the Flamengo squad returned to Ninho do Urubu this morning and kicked off their preseason training. In the day's first activity, coach Jorge Jesus was officially introduced to the players by vice president of football Marcos Braz in the auditorium of the George Helal Training Center.
After the initial group meeting, fitness coach Mário Monteiro led the players' physical training in the gym under the coach's watchful eye. Afterward, the coach led a special session on the field with assistant coaches João de Deus and Thiago Oliveira. In the afternoon, Jorge Jesus gathered the players in the auditorium to discuss their work dynamics and tactical aspects.
In a conversation with the press, midfielder Everton Ribeiro spoke about his first contact with Jorge Jesus.
"This first meeting with him was very positive. We arrived and waited for the meeting with him. This first meeting was very impactful. He introduced himself and said he wants to help us win titles. He wants to bring out the best in us; that's his idea. This winning mindset is very important," the number 7 highlighted.
