After spending a vacation in Portugal, coach Jorge Jesus landed at Santos Dumont Airport in Rio de Janeiro on Friday night. Upon his arrival, the coach spoke with FlaTV about Flamengo's plans for the season and his return to work. 

"It's true. I was away from Rio for about 40 days. I already missed working, being at Ninho, being in touch with the nation. Unfortunately, that won't be possible in the coming months. This Covid-19 has complicated our social lives. The Nation and the Brazilian people need to carry out partial isolation, as total isolation cannot happen. It's not easy," said Mister.

"We'll see what the authorities have to say about the teams returning to training. They're workers like everyone else. Players have the advantage of testing and working outdoors. We have to be careful; this is no joke. I was asked in Portugal if I was going to be in the eye of the storm when I returned to Rio. We'll plan our schedule day by day and have to live with this problem," he added.

Mister said he took advantage of his time in Portugal to watch the club's games in 2019 and rewatched the Libertadores final several times. 

"I watched a lot of Flamengo games, not just the Libertadores final, the World Cup final. I watched the Libertadores final three or four times. The Portuguese press showed a lot of it. I watched it as a spectator and became even more enthusiastic about the club," he highlighted.

The red-black commander also spoke about how much he misses the team and sent a message to the nation.

"We're all dying of longing. For love, companionship, friends... Everything has changed... It's true that we all need to get back to the kisses, the cuddles, the love. But I don't know when... A hug, a kiss and a huge heart for the Flamengo fan nation," he concluded.
