Jorge Jesus praises the red-black fans
After the game against Santos, Mister said he was in love with the Nation
By Communication - Flamengo - inFlamengo fans put on another show this Saturday at Maracanã. They packed the stadium, sang, and cheered the red-and-black team's 1-0 victory over Santos. And coach Jorge Jesus was full of praise in the post-match press conference.
"Every game stays in your memory. This should be shown in Europe so they can see what passion is, this feeling... There's no beauty in the game like Flamengo fans portray. Now I feel like I'm in love. Everything is beautiful. Now comes the hardest part," said the Mister.
The Mais Querido's focus now is Cruzeiro, their next opponent in the Brazilian Championship. Coach Jorge Jesus spoke about the matchup.
"We'll think about that later at Cruzeiro. They're not having a championship that matches their quality, but when they face Flamengo, they perform at a high level," said the coach.
"Our main rival isn't Flamengo itself. The championship is very competitive. Teams from São Paulo, Belo Horizonte... Here, seven, eight teams are vying for the title. Our focus now is on Cruzeiro, in Belo Horizonte. We're focused on that. That's what interests us," he added finally.
