Coach Jorge Jesus was also one of the special guests at 'Flamengo Brahma Live', held this Sunday (14), at Maracanã. The Mister, who recently extended his contract with the club until June 2021, revealed that winning the 2019 Libertadores was the most memorable of his career. Check out some excerpts from the conversation with the Portuguese coach:

Difference between Flamengo and the others
"Right now, in sporting terms, the club has more titles than others. Flamengo is recognized worldwide for the strength of its fans. Since I arrived, we've undergone a restructuring process to ensure success on the field. It may seem easy, but the hard part was choosing the right people."

Flamengo's invitation
"I knew it would be difficult, but it was a dream for me, because I've always been interested in Brazilian football, even as a coach in Portugal. I already had some familiarity with Brazilian football. When Marcos Braz approached me, I accepted the invitation as normal because I already knew the size of his fan base. I also knew that, in terms of titles, it wasn't yet what the fans wanted. Fortunately, things went well, largely because Flamengo has very competent people on the board. Furthermore, I learned about the fantastic structure the club offers its players. And then things became easier."

Most important achievement
"For everything that happened, it was undoubtedly the Libertadores final. Because of the way it ended, with all that suffering. We were behind until the 88th minute, and things happened so quickly. That's football... But it was a sign of what this team was capable of. A team that believed and fought until the end. It was the most memorable trophy of my life, and I think it will be the one of my entire career."

Covid-19 pandemic
"We have to be respectful, but we can't be afraid of the virus. If we're disciplined, we'll win this battle. This pandemic was very bad, as it stopped us at a good time. But Flamengo is moving forward; we have a very high-quality team. Knowing how to work makes things easier, and the players are realizing this."

During his chat with host Glenda Kozlowski, Mister Jesus received tributes from his longtime friends, who sent messages via the big screen. In just one year at the helm of "Mais Querido," Jorge Jesus has already won five titles: the Brazilian Championship, CONMEBOL Libertadores, Brazilian Super Cup, Recopa Sudamericana, and the 2020 Guanabara Cup.
