Flamengo already has a new coach. Argentine Jorge Sampaoli signed a contract with Mais Querido on Friday night (14), valid until December 31, 2024. The coach had been without a club since the end of last month, when he left Sevilla, in Spain. He starts working at the club next week.

In Brazil, Sampaoli managed Santos, finishing runner-up in the Brazilian championship in 2019, and Atlético-MG in 2020, finishing third in the national competition. After his time in Brazil, the coach moved to Europe and performed well at Olympique de Marseille in France. The following season, he transferred to Sevilla in Spain.
