Last Tuesday (07), the great MMA fighter and fanatical Flamengo fan José Aldo visited the George Helal Training Center to use the facilities of the Flamengo Performance Excellence Center (CEP FLA) to treat a thigh injury. The athlete is looking to return to the octagon as soon as possible, and is assisted by the head of the Flamengo medical department, Dr. Márcio Tannure, in his recovery.

One of the nation's most distinguished members, José Aldo, was full of praise for the CEP's facilities. "I thought the facilities were excellent. Flamengo deserves congratulations for investing in this structure. It all starts here. It's certainly one of the best facilities in Brazil and leaves nothing to be desired compared to international clubs."

The athlete expressed his pleasure at receiving treatment at his favorite club's training center. "It's very special to be able to get treatment at the club I love, where I always go to games. Being able to come here to recover is a dream come true for me."

With a long list of victories under his belt, Aldo is looking to return as soon as possible to fully harness his talent in the ring. "We're waiting. We're working to get me back fighting by November, but we don't know if that will be possible yet. Our goal is to be back by the end of the year."

As expected, the multi-champion also spoke about Flamengo's football, which has been exciting fans of the Mais Querido. "It all starts with the structure, and I think the board is doing a great job. They're making Flamengo grow even more. This unity that's evident among everyone at the club—not just the players, but also the board, medical staff, and physiology departments, for example—is making Flamengo's football grow even more. We're coming into these two championships very strong, and God willing, we'll win one of them. That's the perspective we fans have for Flamengo."
