Striker Josiel has been confirmed by coach Cuca as Flamengo's starting attacker for Wednesday's Copa do Brasil debut against Ivinhema (MS) in Campo Grande. This will be the first time in 2009 that the number 9 starts a match in the starting eleven.

"It's a completely different time for me, especially because of the responsibility to play well and score the goals expected of me. Being a starter isn't easy. You have to earn it. I need to come in and maintain a good level to stay on the team. Now I have more time to perform well, but the pressure is greater from all sides."

With four goals this season, Josiel is looking forward to playing in his first Copa do Brasil.

"The Copa do Brasil is a completely different championship; it's my first time competing in one. Every match is truly a decisive one. One mistake can leave you out. For me, it's also an extra motivation, especially since it's a first in my career."
