For the second consecutive time, left-back Juan was named by coach Dunga when he named the Brazilian national team for the World Cup qualifiers. A very pleased Juan spoke about his expectations for the matches against Venezuela and Colombia.

"It's a great pleasure and joy to represent the Brazilian National Team. It's recognition of the work I've been doing here at Flamengo. I do my best to always be remembered. I hope the team performs well in both games, because it will be very important for our qualifying campaign."

Starting in the game against Bolivia, at Engenhão, Juan hopes for another chance in the main team.

"I have to try to stay in the squad and then think about starting. The national team has great players, the best in the world. If Dunga needs me, I'm ready, but I always respect my teammates."

The game against Colombia is scheduled for Maracanã, a stadium that Juan knows very well, as it is the home of the red-black team.

"It's great to be able to represent Brazil playing at Maracanã. It's a stadium I know very well, and I feel very comfortable there. We have to play well against Venezuela to get the Rio fans behind us. I hope the national team receives everyone's support."

Due to the call-up, Juan will be out of the match against Atlético-MG, on October 11th, at Maracanã.
