Juan celebrates his return to the Flamengo team
The full-back was out for three rounds and hopes to return with a victory over Palmeiras

Finally, left-back Juan is back. One of the players with the longest tenure and the most appearances for the red-and-black team, he's not used to being away from the pitch for long. However, due to a left ankle injury, he had to sit out the last three rounds of the Brasileirão. Now fully recovered, he returns for the match against Palmeiras at 18:30 PM at the Engenhão stadium, hoping to get back on the right foot.
"I'm very happy to be back. That's what a football player loves: playing. It's very boring to be suffering at home, watching the games on TV, feeling pain... But I'm back and I hope to play a good match against Palmeiras," he said.
Knowing that Engenhão is a stadium where Flamengo has never lost, the player also has the statistics in his favor to be even more motivated for this match.
"I hope we can maintain our record there. God willing, we'll get another win to reach the top spots," said the player, who believes that each match is a decisive one at this stage of the championship.
"Every game is a decision. We're trying to stay as far away from the relegation zone as possible and get closer to the top spots, which is our goal. Especially at home, we have to pick up points and go for wins. We can't afford to let up," he added.
