Juan praises rivals in the Campeonato Carioca
As a full-back, Fla is prepared to face any opponent.
By Flamengo Archive - inEven with his mind on Wednesday's game against Coronel Bolgnesi at Maracanã, left-back Juan praised rivals Fluminense and Botafogo, who are competing on Sunday for a spot to face the red-black team in the grand final of the Campeonato Carioca.
"Now let's just focus on the Libertadores. Botafogo and Fluminense have equal chances in the Taça Rio, and we can't choose. Each has its own strengths. Botafogo has a great squad, and Fluminense stands out for the individual quality of its players. But it's a final, so we have to be prepared for whoever comes our way."
After physical training this morning in Gávea, Juan admitted he was hot-headed when he complained about the refereeing after the match against Botafogo.
- "Botafogo deserved to win. I was hot-headed and ended up complaining, but I admit that Botafogo played better and that's why they won."
