The draw against Fluminense wasn't the ideal result for the Red-Blacks' season ambitions. However, Juan appreciated the players' fight for a result after falling behind at the end of the match.

"Conceding a goal like we did is always bad, but we responded well. Soon after, Paolo had a chance to equalize. After the equalizer, we had more chances to turn the game around, but unfortunately it didn't happen. We have to keep working to get back to winning ways and catch up with the top team. We had the opportunity to win the game, especially in the second half, but we couldn't," analyzed the defender.

Regarding the rest of the season for "Mais Querido," the experienced player stated that there's still a lot to fight for until the end of the year. With the goal of reaching the direct qualification zone for the Copa Libertadores and a new duel against Fluminense in the Copa CONMEBOL Sudamericana, the remaining matches must be played with grit and determination in pursuit of these goals.

"The year isn't over yet. Flamengo has generated a lot of expectation, and anyone who knows the club knows that it's always heaven or hell. As much as outsiders want to say that the year is over and bad, we have to bounce back in the Brazilian Championship and the South American Championship to try to win the title. We have to react and win the matches," he predicted.

It's no secret what needs to be done to regain peace and confidence for the final stages of 2017. "We have to get back to winning ways. We have to seek victories starting Sunday as soon as possible. We have to work harder, win games, and have more confidence," said Juan.

The next challenge for the red-black team will be against Chapecoense. At Arena Condá, home of this Sunday's opponent (15), Mais Querido will look to add three points in the Brazilian Championship. The match will start at 17 pm.
