In 2010, Juan played 29 games for Flamengo, scoring two goals and providing seven assists. Encouraged by his good form, the player believes that, under Rogério Lourenço, his production has increased due to him being given a little more freedom to attack.
"Now I'm playing a little more freely. People sometimes can't tell the difference between a full-back and a winger, but I think I'm playing well. I'm playing freely again, and because of that, I've started to stand out more to the fans," he said.
Next Tuesday, Juan and the other members of the red-and-black squad will return at 9 a.m. in Gávea. The squad will spend an offseason with some days in Rio and others outside the city.
