Having recovered from a right knee injury that sidelined him for three months, left-back Juan has been confirmed by coach Andrade for this weekend's derby against Botafogo at the Engenhão stadium. The number 6 stated that he expects to perform better on Sunday than he did against Palmeiras.

"I always think about improving, but I feel good today, especially physically. Last Sunday's game was good for me, and I see myself in a moment of growth. Having the team already in high gear actually helps me; it's important for me, as I'm coming back from injury."

Juan believes it will be another difficult match in the Brazilian Championship.

"In the final stretch, every game is difficult because each team has its own ambitions. It's tough for those fighting at the top or bottom of the table. I think it will be a very close game where the will of the teams will prevail. I hope the technical side is also good so that the spectacle will be good to watch."

The number 6 said he prefers to play the derby against Botafogo at Maracanã. According to the player, the match loses some of its charm being played at Engenhão.

"The game at the Engenhão stadium loses its charm. Big games require big stadiums. That's not to detract from the Engenhão stadium, which is beautiful and modern, but the Maracanã stadium is traditional, the field is large, and it benefits both teams. But we have to accept what was decided and play there to the best of our ability to win."

Juan is hoping that the classic will be played only on the field, without violence between fans.

"We're a little worried about violence because we have family members who go to the games. We're hoping nothing out of the ordinary happens and we ask everyone to bring their families along to cheer in peace on Sunday."
