Juan wants Fla to score points away from home
The full-back demands an attacking spirit against Grêmio.
By Flamengo Archive - inOne of Flamengo's standout players this season, left-back Juan, emphasized the importance of earning points away from home in the Brazilian Championship. For the number 6, the red-and-black team should look for a victory against Grêmio on Sunday in Porto Alegre.
- "In the Brazilian league, it's important to always win points away from home. Of course, a draw is better than a loss, but we have to take the risk and go for the win. It would be a very important result for the run we'll have at home later on."
Juan stated that facing Grêmio at the Olympic Stadium is very difficult. According to the player, the pressure is immense.
- "I've never won a match against Grêmio at the Olímpico. They know how to play at home, they know how to use the support of their fans and the strength of playing at their stadium. Losing the state title there affected them as much as our victory here. Now what matters is the Brazilian Championship and we have to focus on that."
The full-back believes he won't have much freedom in Sunday's game.
- "I don't think I'll have as much freedom against Grêmio as I did against Santos. They'll probably attack more, and I need to position myself well. If I get the chance, I'll support them as I usually do."
