The draw against Santa Fe earned Flamengo a point, keeping them at the top of Group 4 in the Conmebol Libertadores. It wasn't a technically good match, but the altitude and the pressure from the opposition were factors that make the result more valuable.
Defender Juan spoke about Flamengo's performance in the mixed zone at El Campín and admitted that the team wasn't at its best, but he didn't criticize the result obtained away from home.
"We knew the game would be difficult. We didn't play spectacularly. As much as possible, we managed to neutralize Santa Fe. The altitude also took its toll. They didn't have many chances, and neither did we. It was a close game," said Juan.
The next match in the competition will be at home against Emelec on May 16th, this time with fans in attendance. After two games played behind closed doors, Flamengo will reunite with its fans in a Libertadores match. And for Juan, this will make all the difference.
"We still have to play at home. With the support of our fans, it will be different. It was difficult to play these two games without the Nation. We hope that now it will be a favorable scenario for us," concluded the Flamengo number four.
