In the last 15 minutes of the match against Vitória, this Saturday (11.09), in Volta Redonda, Flamengo played with practically 10 players. As it had already made the three substitutions it was entitled to, the Rio de Janeiro Red-black suffered with the injury of left-back Juan, who remained on the field just doing the number.
He suffered a strong blow to his right ankle, left the locker room at Raulino de Oliveira on crutches and will be re-evaluated by Flamengo's medical department when the team returns on Monday (13.09).
Another player who suffered a potential injury was defender Ronaldo Angelim. After experiencing thigh pain following a knock in the first half, he opted to leave the field at halftime, hoping to help the team and save himself for the rest of the Brazilian Championship.
"Silas was going to take out a defender and so I asked to come off. I was feeling a blow that I received and it was better that way," said Angelim.
