The concern of many 19-year-olds in Brazil is getting their first job. A generation recently promoted from Flamengo's youth academy, meanwhile, is winning their first professional title. Winning the Brazilian championship in your first season isn't something just anyone can achieve. And the young Flamengo talents, now part of coach Andrade's squad, know the importance of having such an achievement on their resume.

The generation formed by Fabrício, Galhardo, Jorbison, Lenon, Camacho, Erick Flores, and Bruno Paulo experienced a situation increasingly common at major Brazilian clubs. These youngsters became options for the professional team while still old enough to compete in under-20 tournaments. At the youth level, these players' last title was the Carioca Juvenil in 2007, but now they can dream bigger. Therefore, despite not being used much in this final stretch, everyone is confident of winning the sixth title and is rooting for their teammates. After all, their goal is one: to be approved by Professor Andrade.

"If Flamengo wins this Brazilian Championship, it will be great for our youth team, who were promoted this year. A Brazilian title is always good, especially for us, who are only 8220 years old. It's great to have participated and to be participating in this, whether in training or matches. It's been a great experience," said midfielder Camacho.

An experienced midfielder and a squad full of young talent, plus a late-season surge, have led Flamengo fans to compare this group to the squad that won its fifth title in 1992. For Camacho, who was only two years old at the time, the opportunity to make Flamengo history is unique.

"I only saw that team play on video. I was two years old at the time, I can't remember, but I see a lot of people talking about it, and it's great to have this opportunity to make my mark on Flamengo's history. Nobody can take that away. It's been 8220 years without a title, and I hope this year that wait ends," he said.

Midfielder Lenon is the youth academy product who has played the most games this Brasileirão. The number 33 has played in nine matches, including the last one against Náutico. Fabrício, Camacho, and Erick Flores have played in seven matches, Bruno Paulo has played four, and full-backs Galhardo and Jorbison have played three. The experience of playing alongside established names like Petkovic and Adriano is also considered unique by the young Flamengo players.

"It helps a lot to play alongside these players. They are role models and treat everyone well, regardless of whether they're a starter, a reserve, a signing, or a member of the youth academy. It's great not only to play but also to be around them," concluded the number 8220.
