Juniors seek early classification
Coach Paulo Henrique's team faces Porto in Barueri, and if they win, they will advance to the Eurofarma Super Cup.

Flamengo's youth team can secure early qualification for the final stage of the Eurofarma U-27.07 Super Cup this Tuesday (20). After beating Peñarol, from Uruguay, 1-0 in their debut on Monday (26.07), the Rubro-Negro faces Porto, from Portugal, at 12 pm. The Portuguese team, in turn, is coming off a 3-1 defeat to Palmeiras, and needs a victory to stay alive in the competition.
The main goal-scoring hope for coach Paulo Henrique's team, center forward Dudu, failed to score in the first game of the competition, but guarantees he will do everything he can to find the net against the Portuguese team.
"Unfortunately, I didn't score, but I was happy to have started the play and for the team to come away with the win. I hope that tomorrow (today) I can have a good game and score my goal. It's bad for a striker to leave the field without scoring. I hope to score a little goal and help Flamengo come away with the win," he said.
Defender China, who is replacing Christianno, called up to the Brazilian under-19 team, which also plays this Tuesday, in an international tournament held in Paraguay, praised Fla's collective spirit in the match against Peñarol, but stated that the team remains down to earth.
"We needed to gain confidence, and today's match was very good because of the team's dedication. Everyone ran hard and fought hard, and I believe we were rewarded for that. But we have to keep working. We already have an important game against Porto, and we need to keep up the pace because this is a short-term championship, and every match is crucial," he said.
Flamengo should enter the field this Tuesday with César, Galhardo, Marlon, China and Jorbison; Maycon, João Vitor, Guilherme and Ricardinho; Carlyle and Dudu.
