Flamengo Juniors thrashed Friburguense 5-0

By Flamengo Archive - inFlamengo's youth team thrashed Friburguense 5-0 this Wednesday afternoon in Gávea. With a strong run in the Rio Cup, with five wins and one draw, the red-and-black team reached 16 points and leads Group A.
On the field, Flamengo gave their opponent no chance. Just two minutes in, Erick Flores made a beautiful play and passed the ball to Renan, who shot past the goalkeeper. Dominating the match, Flamengo extended their lead with Erick Flores in the 25th minute, capitalizing on a blunder by Friburguense's defense.
Late in the first half, number eight Erick Flores was fouled on the edge of the box. Paulo Sérgio fired in a masterful shot to score his tenth goal in the Campeonato Carioca.
The second half continued with the Gávea team pressing. Erick Flores, the best player on the pitch, dribbled past two players before unleashing a beautiful shot from outside the box: 4-0 Flamengo. The red-and-black team sealed the score with Diego Oliveira in the 27th minute, finishing off a cross into the box.
In the next round, Flamengo faces Madureira, Saturday, at 15 pm, at Conselheiro Galvão Stadium.
