Even playing with a team full of reserves, Flamengo's junior team did their job and thrashed Sendas this Saturday afternoon at Gávea, in a match valid for the last round of the group stage of the Octávio Pinto Guimarães Cup. With qualification for the final phase of the competition already guaranteed, the red-and-blacks took to the field simply to fulfill their schedule. 

Despite this, the youngsters didn't slow down and beat the São João de Meriti team 4-0. With this result, Flamengo secured first place in Group B of the OPG Cup and a spot in the third phase of the tournament. Flamengo's opponent is yet to be decided.
