Juniors win another and get going at OPG
With three goals from Paquetá, the kids beat Volta Redonda and are close to the top of Group B

After a stumble against Leme and a victory over Bangu in the first two rounds, the youngsters defeated Volta Redonda 4-2 yesterday afternoon (October 04th) in Gávea. The star of the match was striker Vinícius Paquetá, who scored three goals. Guilherme Camacho, who was training with the professionals but was used in the game, completed the scoring. Flamengo entered the court with some changes compared to the first two games of the competition. Lenon - another who trains with the professionals - and Camacho took João Vitor and Pecka's places in midfield. Leo replaced Rafael Galhardo at right-back, and Vinícius Paquetá replaced Renan up front. It worked. Coach Armênio Moura's team reached six points and took second place in Group B of the second phase of the OPG Cup. With the result, the red-and-blacks leave behind Sendas, with four points, Volta Redonda and Bangu, with three, and Independente, which has yet to score. In first place is the undefeated and surprising Leme, with two wins and a draw. In the next round, on Wednesday (October 10th), Flamengo faces Independente, in Macaé, at the Expedicionário Stadium, at 07 pm. In the other games of the round, Volta Redonda hosts Sendas at Raulino de Oliveira and Bangu faces Leme at CT do Artsul, in Nova Iguaçu.
