After a stumble against Leme and a victory over Bangu in the first two rounds, the youngsters defeated Volta Redonda 4-2 yesterday afternoon (October 04th) in Gávea. The star of the match was striker Vinícius Paquetá, who scored three goals. Guilherme Camacho, who was training with the professionals but was used in the game, completed the scoring. Flamengo entered the court with some changes compared to the first two games of the competition. Lenon - another who trains with the professionals - and Camacho took João Vitor and Pecka's places in midfield. Leo replaced Rafael Galhardo at right-back, and Vinícius Paquetá replaced Renan up front. It worked.
