On the eve of the match against Avaí at Arena das Dunas, Oswaldo de Oliveira led a tactical training session at the stadium where the match against the Santa Catarina team will be held. The coach lined up the team with Ayrton and Armero on the wings and Wallace replacing César Martins. Up front, the coach has Kayke at his disposal, who scored 20 goals this year for ABC, the team he played for before joining Flamengo. Back in Natal, where he shone for the black and white team, the striker talks about what he expects for this Wednesday's match (September 02.09nd) in front of thousands of Flamengo fans from the Northeast.
"The expectations couldn't be better. I was very well received here in Natal when I arrived at ABC. Today, wearing a Flamengo jersey, it was no different. The welcome from the people here in Rio Grande do Norte was incredible. Flamengo fans joined ABC fans at the airport. I hope this will be a positive point for tomorrow's game. It would be great to score my first goal wearing a Flamengo jersey here in Natal," he said.
As always, Flamengo's fans have already put on a show, demonstrating that they are the biggest in the country. The red-and-blacks from Rio Grande do Norte have been showing their affection for the squad since their arrival, at the airport, around Arena das Dunas, and at the hotel where the delegation is staying. Kayke hopes to reciprocate on the field.
"It's definitely going to be a huge party. Flamengo doesn't usually come to Natal, so whenever the team is here it's a big event. I believe the stadium will be packed, and the fans will support us until the end. Because of Flamengo's strength, because it's like that everywhere in Brazil, but also because for the red-and-blacks here, it will be a special day. We'll do everything we can to repay this affection with a victory on the field," he concluded.
