"Returning to Flamengo, being captain, and debuting with a win is incredible. We know that now it's time to rest and think about the next match. Playing here is a huge responsibility, but these kids already know what it's like, they've been playing for a long time, and they deserve congratulations on today's match. I just have to thank the group for their dedication and commitment," said the captain.
Full-back Kléber also analyzed the result in Volta Redonda. "It was a tough match. We've been working really hard every day this preseason. The team is young and has already bonded since the youth teams, having played together for a long time, so I just want to say thank you for this victory. These three points at the start are very important for us," he explained.
Training alongside the senior team since the end of last year, the full-back has been able to interact with and learn from key players in the senior squad. "I came up before the guys who came through the Copinha, so the experience we gained with the older players, like Juan and Diego, is very important. They give us a lot of guidance, and it's our job to do the same with the newcomers," Kléber said.
Rubro-Negro returns to the field next Sunday (21), when they face Cabofriense, at 20:15 pm, at Ilha do Urubu.
