During training this afternoon in Gávea, Flamengo's vice-president of football, Kleber Leite, gave his fellow members of the press an overview of the 2008 transfer window. According to Kleber, the information is intended to demonstrate the transparency of the Flamengo board.

"It's our obligation to be accountable. Flamengo isn't mine, and this report is to demonstrate our transparency. There were no excesses in the signings, as nine players left and nine joined. The numbers show there was no abuse. The sale of players resulted in a significant influx of resources. With these resources, we were able to assemble a strong squad.
