Kleberson thanks Flamengo for being in the national team
Midfielder praised his determination to overcome difficult times he experienced at Rubro-negro

"Flamengo opened the doors for me to get to where I am today." Flamengo midfielder Kleberson thanked the club for once again being called up to play in a World Cup. Excited about the imminent return to the yellow jersey, the Flamengo player hopes to contribute to the Brazilian national team with his experience as a World Cup champion in 2002.
Training with the Brazilian national team in Curitiba, the Flamengo midfielder spoke to journalists this Sunday and explained that he will seek, just like in the Japan/Korea World Cup, his place.
"Every player here is looking for their place, fighting for a position. All the players are capable of starting. We're here to try to strengthen this group. That's my goal, and I hope to help the team in any way I can," said Kleberson, explaining that he never stopped thinking about being on the Brazilian national team.
"The way things happened to me serves as an example. When I was left out (of the Flamengo team), I remained calm and worked hard. I never lost heart. I kept working, and the few opportunities I had, I tried to take advantage of. When you're going through good or bad times, the important thing is to keep your head on straight and bounce back like I did."
And if the not-so-good memories serve to reinforce the comeback of the "Penta", the good times, lived in the Scolari family, are more than incentives in the search for another great achievement.
"I had a great time at that World Cup. I arrived slowly and gradually earned my place. It left its mark; it was a wonderful experience. However, today, I have a lot of experience and maturity. In 2002, everything was new to me, but I did well. Now, I return with more experience, stronger within the group. Everyone knows my work. I want to take advantage of the opportunities to show that I can help," concluded Kleberson.
