Kleberson bets on the future of the young red-blacks
Supporter also reveals that his son will be a striker and play for Flamengo when he grows up
By From the team at Flamengo's official website - inThere's no better image than the smile of a Flamengo child to represent the atmosphere that took over Gávea on the team's return to the Brazilian Championship. This Tuesday (20.06), it was Kleberson's son, Klebinho, who caught everyone's attention during Flamengo's training session.
A regular presence at one team activity or another, the boy donned a Flamengo uniform and played on the sidelines while his father trained with the rest of the squad. If Kleberson has his way, the game could soon become a reality.
"I'm going to get him a number 15 shirt. He'll be a striker and play for Flamengo," he said.
With two World Cups under his belt, "Penta" (the Penta), as he's nicknamed by the group, precisely because he won the 2002 World Cup with the Brazilian national team, is a role model for the younger players within the squad. Aware of this, he praises the young talents emerging from the youth ranks and is confident in the squad's development.
"Other Brunos, Adrianos, and Loves are emerging. The experienced, champion players are missing, of course, but we're rooting for the youngsters to have luck. I think these kids are coming in well. There's a big difference between the group from January and now, and we have to do what we did in 2009: grow at the right time and win the title," he added.
