Flamengo's new midfield lineup pleased the Flamengo representative on the Brazilian national team, which will compete in the World Cup in South Africa. Kleberson enjoyed having Michael alongside him to create plays and seeing Willians and Toró protecting the defense. According to him, the team gained speed and allowed him to get closer to the attackers, which helped in creating plays.
"With the formation that Rogério started with, the team became faster. That was good, since I could play more freely and appear from behind, as a surprise man. I could play closer to Adriano and Vagner Love," he analyzed.
But beyond the tactical changes, Kleberson believes that the key to overcoming Universidad de Chile next Thursday, at 22:15 pm, in Santiago, is to remain calm and not despair in search of a result.
"We have to do our job calmly, play with respect against Universidad, who showed they're no ordinary team. But we have to play with attitude, show that we want to qualify," he said.
This Monday, Kleberson will return with the group and await the coach's decision to determine whether the team that faced Vitória will indeed be retained for the match against La U. Regardless, he says he's confident of qualifying.
"That decision is up to Rogério. We still have a few days until the game and we need to do everything calmly. Whether I'll play or not, I don't know yet. But I know that all of us (players) are confident and ready to do everything we can to help Flamengo qualify from Chile," he added.
