Although Flamengo failed to qualify for this year's Copa Libertadores, supporter Kleberson has no complaints about last season. After nearly a year out due to a legal dispute with his former club, Besiktas (Turkey), the five-time champion established himself as a starter for Flamengo, appearing in 45 matches, scoring six goals. Now, he's confident that Flamengo will experience even better days in the 2009 season.

"Last year we spent a lot of time thinking about the Libertadores and were disappointed not to win the title. I think 2009 will be completely different. We'll fight from start to finish to win every title, focusing on one competition at a time," said the supporter.

At the moment, according to Kleberson, everyone's attention is focused on the preseason. The red-and-black number 15 sees the preparation phase as crucial for the team to withstand the strain of the four competitions it will compete in this year.

"We're very anxious to find out who will start, but now we just have to focus on the preparation work we've been doing. Everything starts here, and we have to dedicate ourselves to the maximum so the rewards come later."
