Adidas/Reebok reportedly made an offer to Fla

Adidas/Reebok is in the running to be Flamengo's future supplier. The contract with Nike doesn't end until June 2009, but the club's marketing department already has an unofficial offer in hand that's higher than the current one (R$4.5 million).

In the proposal from Adidas (which bought Reebok, just as Nike did with Umbro) the values are higher than R$15 million annually - the largest contract in the country and close to what São Paulo receives.

- I can only say that, until the end of February, we await a position from Nike on the proposal for a new contract with a financial and material increase - said Ricardo Hinrinchsen, Fla's vice president of marketing, who will make a presentation to Petrobrás about a new contract.

But Fla is also studying the possibility of another sponsor with values greater than or similar to R$21 million.
