At 33 years old, and after ending a drought of more than a year without playing an official football match, Leandro Amaral is back. Last weekend, he faced Ceará in his first game wearing the Flamengo jersey, and now he's only focused on continuing his work. Training hard, he finds in the support of the fans even more motivation to show his potential on the field.

And proof that the Flamengo Nation is behind the player is the result of the poll conducted on the official website last week. The question was: "Do you believe that Leandro Amaral will shine at Flamengo?". The fans, optimistic in their great majority, said yes: 87% of the page visitors believe that "He has already shown that he has footballing ability and will want to resume his career with everything". Only 13% doubt the player's success and stated that "His injury history worries me a lot".

"I'm well adapted, I was very well received by the group and especially by the fans. This affection, this support, is fundamental. This is what I need most and I'm getting it. I will try my best to repay this with many goals and many victories," said Leandro in an exclusive interview with the official website.

This Wednesday (August 18.08th), the striker trained with his teammates on Barra beach, worked up a sweat, and did an activity that he considered fundamental for his development.

"This training session was great for me. It's a bit tiring, but you gain a lot, especially in terms of strength. I'll keep training and working hard to give back to this fanbase that's supporting me so much," he added.
