Striker Leandro Amaral celebrated his birthday in a typical soccer player fashion this Friday (August 06.08) in Gávea. The Flamengo striker celebrated his 33rd birthday by sweating it out with his teammates. Wearing the number 33 jersey, a nod to his triplet sons and, curiously, also the player's new age, Leandro has been training hard to make his debut for Flamengo as soon as possible.

Happy to celebrate his first birthday wearing the Sacred Mantle, Leandro can't wait to step onto the field and play an official match for the Red-Blacks. After a career turnaround, the striker believes he has reason to celebrate this milestone.

"I'm happy to be spending my birthday at a great club, with great professionals, and I believe I have many reasons to celebrate. It's another year of life, returning to football, and I hope to have even better days when I'm on the field for Flamengo," he said.

Leandro expects to be back on the field in two weeks. In other words, he'll make his debut against Atlético-PR at Arena da Baixada on August 22nd.

"I'm sweating a lot, improving my physical condition, working with the group on the field and doing separate sessions at the gym, all to get in shape as quickly as possible and be able to help Flamengo as soon as possible," he added.
