If newly appointed coach Silas will be without Diogo, who has a swollen ankle, in his debut as Flamengo coach next Wednesday (01.09) against Cruzeiro, the coach will have Leandro Amaral back in the squad. Having recovered from the pain in his left knee, the number 33 is expected to be in the squad for the game and could even start in the clash against Cruzeiro.

Midfielder Vinícius Pacheco, who also missed the trip to Campinas last weekend due to back pain, was reportedly cleared for the match, but was ruled out due to the potential strain a plane would cause on the injured area. Both were re-evaluated by the medical department and trained normally on Monday (August 30.08) at Gávea.

Midfielder Kleberson is also out of the squad. Although he has recovered from calf pain, he remains in Rio de Janeiro focused on his fitness and will be trained to be included against Santos on Sunday (05.09) at Maracanã.

This Tuesday (31.08), the red-black squad heads to Uberlândia, where on Wednesday, they face Cruzeiro, at Parque do Sabiá.
