Before training this Tuesday (29), defender Léo Duarte gave a press conference at the CT and discussed the duel against the Bahia team.
"The Brazilian Championship is tough, every game is complicated. Bahia has a good team. They have Zé Rafael, who is a great player, but we'll study them so we don't let their team play. We have to do well, because it's an important game for us to maintain our lead."
In a conversation with journalists in the Victorino Chermont Press Room, the number 43 player made a point of praising the work that Maurício Barbieri is doing for Flamengo.
"Barbieri is an excellent coach. Even though he's young, he has great qualities and is very intelligent. He gives us a lot of information, which makes our work easier. We embrace his idea."
Flamengo will still play three home games before the Brazilian Championship break for the World Cup. Léo Duarte spoke about the importance of accumulating as many points as possible during this period.
"We have some home games and we hope to get as many points as possible. We'll also use this World Cup break to fine-tune details and work hard."
