Preparations for the derby against Vasco concluded this Friday morning in Gávea. Before the final session, defender Léo Duarte gave a press conference and discussed the string of games he's been playing this season.

"I'm very happy to be back playing. We're upset, not to make a fuss or anything, but we're upset because every player wants to play. I'm happy to be back and playing well. Rhodolfo was fine and, unfortunately, he felt some discomfort. I managed to come in and maintain my level. Everyone has to work, even without playing, because the opportunity will come."

The defender praised the rival team, but stated that Rubro-Negro is ready to leave Maracanã with the three points.

"Vasco has been very consistent, very regular. It's going to be a great derby. I think we're prepared and, with humility, we can break their unbeaten streak. That's what we hope for, with the help of our fans."

The number 43 also made a point of highlighting the size of what a classic between Flamengo and Vasco represents.

"It's a different game. Flamengo and Vasco is a very big game. They're our biggest rivals. We have to be focused and focused to do our best and win. They have the second-largest fan base after us. It will be a great derby."

Finally, Léo Duarte praised the Mais Querido squad, especially midfielders De Arrascaeta and Everton Ribeiro.

"It gains quality. The quality they both have with the ball at their feet is different. They are different and understand each other very well."

Flamengo and Vasco face each other this Saturday night (09), at 19 pm, at Maracanã. The match will be valid for the 3rd round of the Taça Rio.
