This Tuesday (09), the red-black squad appeared at Ninho do Urubu for another afternoon of training aiming at the match against San José, for the Conmebol Libertadores. Before the activity, defender Léo Duarte gave a press conference in the Victorino Chermont Press Room.

On a day of heavy rain and catastrophes in Rio de Janeiro, the number 43 began with words of solidarity for the victims.

"I want to send a message of comfort to the families who are suffering from the rain, especially those who have suffered losses," lamented the player.

When asked about the role of the fans, who are always present in large numbers, Léo stressed that he is still surprised by the Nation.

"Yes, I'm impressed. They always sell out, even against smaller teams. That's an extra motivation for us to play great games and get results."

Even with Gabigol's absence for Thursday's game, suspended due to a red card, the defender highlighted the strength of the red-black squad.

"We have a very strong squad. Gabriel is an important player for us. He won't be on the field on Thursday, but he'll be cheering. Uribe trains very well and plays a very good role on the field. Vitor Gabriel is very strong physically, and whoever comes in will give their best and we hope he helps us with goals," he said.

Regarding Vinicius Jr's illustrious visit to the training center, Léo Duarte commented on the characteristic joy of the Boy from the Nest.

"Always happy, with that way about him and that exaggerated laugh. He's very happy, he praised the new module and our team a lot. He said he missed us, and we miss him too," he emphasized.
