This Tuesday (18), Mais Querido carried out another day of intense training aiming at the match against Atlético-MG next Sunday. After the activity, defender Léo Duarte gave a press conference at CT Ninho do Urubu and commented on the period of work and the next challenges.

"It's been a long time since we had a full week to work. In 60 days, we played 18 games. I believe Barbieri will have this week to improve the team and make adjustments so we can get back to winning ways. We lack training; there have been so many games one after the other. The players don't have time to train, but now we can fix what's necessary, the finishing will improve and the ball can go in again," said the number 43.

"We've stumbled in important games, but we need to get back on track to win soon. We know it's tough, but if we can win three or four in a row, we'll be back in the title race. The Brazilian league is very difficult; it's normal to have ups and downs. When you win, everyone wins. When you lose, it's the same. The ball isn't going in, but the defense also missed opportunities. We have to practice finishing, heading. We hope this phase passes," he added.

The defender also spoke about the club's performance. "One of the main factors is physical fatigue. The starting lineup changed very little, with three days off in 60 days. It was a marathon. The players end up getting tired, as the games were exhausting. We're going to train hard this week so we can come out with a win on Sunday," he commented.

Next Sunday (23), Flamengo hosts Atlético-MG at Maracanã at 16 pm. “It's a good team, that likes to have possession, has fast players up front. We have to go in focused to play a good game and come out with the victory”, concluded Léo Duarte.
