Léo Duarte asks for attention and states: “We cannot make any more mistakes”
Defender gave a press conference on Thursday afternoon (8) at Ninho do Urubu
By Communication - Flamengo - inFlamengo will have another important challenge in the Brazilian Championship on Saturday night (10) and preparation continues at Ninho do Urubu. Before training this Thursday (8), defender Léo Duarte gave a press conference and highlighted the importance of making mistakes in the match against Botafogo.
"We have to approach these games very seriously. We can't afford any more mistakes. Mistakes have to disappear. We'll take it game by game. Botafogo is a classic, and we have to put in a good performance to win."
The number 43 praised the team's attitude throughout the games, but called for more concentration when defining plays.
"The team is doing well, we rarely leave matches without scoring goals, but we failed on some crucial occasions. We have to focus to take advantage of the opportunities we get. We didn't take advantage of them against Palmeiras and São Paulo."
After two games against teams from the top of the table, Flamengo will face Botafogo, who are fighting to escape the relegation zone. Léo Duarte spoke about both situations.
"It doesn't make much difference to face someone at the bottom of the table. It's worth a lot for both clubs. Especially since it's a derby."
Finally, the number 43 spoke about Vitinho and hopes that the striker can find the net against his former club on Saturday.
"Vitinho is a great player, and we knew that with the sequence and adaptation, he would loosen up more and his football would develop. Mistakes are part of the game. Let's hope he has that ex-law everyone talks about."

Caesar's Moment
"César is a little older than me, but he went through the same situation. He also came through the academy, has a lot of quality, is a great player, and works hard. We knew he would stay when he got the opportunity. The level is very high."
Playing style with Dorival
"Our style of play is based on possession, and we like to involve our opponents. Of course, we face quality teams, but that's how our team is. We have the ball and we're also strong defensively. That's our style."
Decisive moments for the cast
"The group remains the same, with the same drive, and they like to make decisions. We've been through several this year. Playing Flamengo is like that. A big game and a decisive one. We have to take it one game at a time and not make mistakes. We hope to play six great matches and earn the most points."
Gratitude to Flamengo
"I try to work hard because it was a tough race to get to the professional team. I was out of action for two years, but I always kept striving and dedicated myself. Thank God the opportunity came along, and I was able to establish myself and showcase my football skills. I'm very grateful to Flamengo because when I was younger, we sometimes ran out of food at home. I never went hungry, but we were in need, and the club gave me the chance to help my family. I'm very grateful. I intend to stay here as long as possible and win many titles."
