Léo: “Playing in the middle is nothing new for me”
The player was tested by coach Cuca in setting up plays.
By Flamengo Archive - inIn this morning's tactical training session, coach Cuca made some changes to the starting lineup. Among them, the move of full-back Léo Moura to midfield, where he plays the playmaking role. According to the number 2, this role isn't new to his career.
"Playing midfield isn't new to me. I still want to be a full-back for a while, but if Cuca decides to put me in midfield, that's fine, because I've played that way in Europe. It's still too early to know what team he'll field."
One of Flamengo's standout players in recent years, Léo Moura knows he hasn't yet delivered as expected.
"I know I haven't performed as well as I have in previous years. But I'm also certain that by the end of the year, my name will be among the best once again. I'm working hard to improve every day."
Léo Moura is keeping an eye on Flamengo's next challenge of the season, against Ivinhema (MS), in the Copa do Brasil.
-"The Copa do Brasil sometimes surprises precisely because it features unknown teams. Some have already eliminated big teams. Games considered easy become even more difficult."
