The atmosphere at Engenhão last weekend was memorable for the Flamengo players. With almost 40 Flamengo fans in the stands, the team played with great motivation against Guarani and achieved an important victory in their fight for their goals in the 2010 Brazilian Championship. Therefore, the players want this to be repeated on Sunday (November 28.11th) in Volta Redonda.
Flamengo will face Cruzeiro in another crucial match for their campaign, and hopes to once again count on the support of the Rubro-Negro Nation. Captain Leonardo Moura makes the call to action.
"The fans were wonderful and were with us. We deserved that support and we repaid them on the field with great determination. Now it's time to work, because it's not over yet, we have two more games, one of them at home in Volta Redonda, and this support has to continue," he said.
Leo praised the team's dedication in the match against Guarani, congratulated his teammates, but stressed that there is still a long way to go in the Brasileirão. Nothing is decided yet in the competition.
"The team fought hard, scored the first goal, conceded an equalizer, but didn't give up, reversed the score, and everyone deserves congratulations. We have to maintain this in the next two games to achieve our goals," he concluded.
This Monday (November 22.11nd), the Flamengo squad has a day off. The group will return to training on Tuesday (November 23.11rd) at 16:30 PM at Ninho do Urubu.
