Right-back Léo Moura was surprised to learn that he would not be able to travel with Flamengo this Wednesday to begin preseason training in Porto Feliz, São Paulo, because he will have to undergo nose surgery on Thursday. Léo said he doesn't feel any pain or symptoms, but said the doctor performing the surgery, Dr. Augusto César Lima, explained that this small change in his right nostril could end up harming him in the future.

"I've received a lot of messages online from people worried about me, but everything is fine. Of course, it was a shock, because I was getting ready to start preseason and start this important year flying on the field. But this little problem was detected, and I'm having surgery tomorrow. I'm confident that everything will go well, and I'll soon be able to return to training normally. The doctor responsible for the procedure will be the same one who operated on Renato Augusto and David's faces. So I'm sure I'm in good hands," said Léo Moura, explaining the reasons for the surgery:

"I don't feel any pain or any other symptoms, but this problem in my nasal cavity was detected and the doctor explained to me that it could affect my breathing and even my performance on the field. Therefore, he thought it best to remove it immediately and see exactly what it is," explained the player.
