Leo Moura and Wilians represent Flamengo in the Brasileirão Player of the Year award.
Players are nominated for awards for best in their positions in this year's Brazilian Championship.
By From the official website team - inThe Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) released, this Friday (November 26.11th), the list of nominees for the Brasileirão Player of the Year award, which will take place on December 6th in Rio. Journalists, coaches, and players voted to choose the best in each position, as well as "Player of the Championship," "King of Goals," "Revelation," and "Fan Favorite." The announcement was made by the coach of the Brazilian National Team, Mano Menezes, and the coach of the Brazilian under-20 team, Ney Franco, in São Paulo.
\Flamengo will have two representatives in the competition. Leonardo Moura has been nominated for the best right-back award of the season, once again, while Willians has been nominated for the defensive midfielder position. The team from Gávea has a history with the award. In 2006, Renato was elected one of the best midfielders, in addition to being named the Fans' Favorite Player. The following year, Ibson was also awarded, and the Flamengo fans received the "Golden Fans" trophy.
\In 2008, Leonardo Moura, nominated again this year, was the best right-back. Juan was elected the best left-back. Last year, when Flamengo won their sixth title, they received more awards: Petkovic as one of the best midfielders, Adriano best striker and King of Goals, Golden Fan Award for the Nation, and Andrade best coach.
