Flamengo's team trained behind closed doors for much of Tuesday's (August 24.08th) session at Ninho do Urubu. Coach Rogério Lourenço began working with the team for Thursday's (August 26.08th) game against Atlético-MG at Maracanã. But Flamengo's captain Leonardo Moura believes the initiative wasn't intended to create mystery, but rather to avoid giving the opponent any ammunition.

"There's nothing mysterious about it, just precautions. When the time comes, everyone will know which team will be taking the field. Everyone knows which players are playing, and it won't be a surprise to anyone," said the full-back.

Going forward less than usual, Leo explains that the tactical scheme Rogério has implemented in recent matches was designed precisely to prevent him and Juan from advancing at the same time, leaving gaps in the defense.

"The system we've been playing in requires the full-backs to push forward alternately. We have to think about defending first and then attacking. When the time is right to get forward, I'll attack. We have to look for the right moment to get forward and help our teammates," said the player, who made a point of praising the Flamengo squad.

"Everyone here has the quality to wear the Flamengo shirt, and whoever is chosen can live up to expectations," he concluded.
