Léo Moura asks for caution with Figueirense
The full-back remembers that the Santa Catarina team has been playing well in the Brazilian Championships.
By Flamengo Archive - inRight-back Léo Moura demanded his teammates' full attention for Saturday's match against Figueirense at Maracanã. For the number 2, the red-and-black team will have to fight hard to maintain its unbeaten run in the Brazilian Championship.
"The goal is to win all our matches at home. Of course, we'll respect Figueirense, but at Maracanã, Flamengo has to win. In the fans' minds, Figueirense may be a weak team, lacking tradition, but we respect all our opponents. They've had good Brazilian Championships, and when you don't pay enough attention to an opponent, you lose the match."
Léo praised the arrival of Argentine Maxi in attack, but made a point of remembering that Cristian's departure somewhat diminishes the team's defensive power.
-"Maxi is as fast as Tardelli and will be crucial up front. We full-backs have to be more alert. If Cristian doesn't play, we'll lose a specialist protecting the defense. So we have to be careful so that when one player goes forward, the other stays in defense."
