Léo Moura asks for attention with Vasco
"Vasco is a fast team and we have to be very careful with their attack," warned the red-black full-back.
By Flamengo Archive - inOne of the most experienced players in Flamengo's squad, right-back Léo Moura, assured that the loss to Atlético-MG is in the past and that the Flamengo players' attention is focused on Saturday's derby against Vasco at Maracanã. For the number 2, Vasco deserves the full respect of the Flamengo squad, even though they are currently in last place in the Brazilian Championship.
"We don't need to argue. It's not a good time, and we must always respect Vasco. They never needed to provoke a rivalry. The idea here is to go out on the field on Saturday, play a good game, and get the three points. We have a good week of training to be ready for the derby."
The right-back called for caution with Vasco's attack, the sixth best in the Brazilian Championship, with an average of 1,52 goals per game.
"We can't give them space. Against Atlético-MG, we gave them a lot of space, and that was crucial. They have fast players, and we have to be careful. Leandro Amaral and Alex Teixeira are all good players."
Léo guaranteed that the red-black team is still in the fight for first place in the Brazilian Championship.
"We have to keep believing. There's still a chance for the title. We'll work to earn as many points as possible in the next nine rounds."
