Flamengo is not in the best of times. Having gone four games without a win, the red-and-blacks know they need to work hard to end this losing streak. For captain Leonardo Moura, it's necessary to have a champion's attitude and enter the field thinking about defending the Brazilian title. After all, according to him, a 2009-style run can't be expected in every game.

"We can't think that what happened in 2009 will happen again this year. Even though it's still early, we can't lose points. We need to add more points to the table as soon as possible," said the full-back, who expects a motivated team on Saturday (14.08), against Ceará.

"We need to go out on the field and show the will to win. We're defending the title and we need to change our approach, whether against Ceará or any other team," he said.

For the captain, Flamengo has a strong group that is capable of fighting for the title, but it needs to demonstrate this potential and the will to win on the field.

"We're letting things happen and then chasing after them. We need to start with the attitude of someone defending the title.
We have a strong group, but we need to understand that things will always get more difficult for Flamengo," observed the player, who does not believe that now is the time to think about despair.

"We don't need to think about the relegation zone, we need to think about the top four, because anyone who has been through that knows how complicated it is. We need to have quality and not let anxiety consume us. If we don't have patience, it will get more complicated. We need to have calm and the will to win," he concluded.
