While recovering quickly from surgery on his right nostril to remove a small tumor, Leonardo Moura left Pasteur Hospital in Rio de Janeiro this Friday, accompanied by doctor José Luiz Runco and his girlfriend Camila Silva (pictured). Despite the good news, the specialist states that the right-back will not be joining the group for Flamengo's preseason in Porto Feliz, São Paulo, and will miss the club's Campeonato Carioca debut against Duque de Caxias on the 17th at Maracanã.

"Leonardo Moura's situation is calm. He recovered well from surgery, but he won't be fully recovered for another week. Unfortunately, he won't be training in Porto Feliz. Now we'll evaluate the athlete to see if he's in a good condition to return for at least another training session," he said.

The second stage of Flamengo's pre-season takes place during the State Championship and will begin on January 18th, with a trip to Volta Redonda.
