Named the best right-back in the last Brazilian Championship, Leonardo Moura wants to start 2008 the way he ended last year. The first step, for him, has already been taken with the extension of his contract until 2001 (his current contract ran until the end of next year). Happy, Léo recognizes that his career has taken a turn that could finally lead him to the Brazilian national team.

- "I found happiness at Flamengo and I feel at home here. That's why I didn't think twice about extending my contract, because it didn't make sense to venture anywhere else. With the peace of mind to play, the team doing well and my teammates helping me, I have everything I need to make it to the Brazilian national team," analyzed the Flamengo full-back.

For his dream to come true, Leonardo Moura knows Flamengo needs to perform well this season. A strong Libertadores campaign would be crucial, and the player provides the recipe for the team to perform better than in 2007.

- "We need a new mentality, more care when we play away from home and repeat the success we had when we played at Maracanã" - he taught.
