Leo emphasizes the importance of working during the week

The red-black captain says the team needs to give its all and secure a victory against Ceará.

Next Saturday's match (August 14.08) against Ceará at Maracanã has taken on the appearance of a decisive match between Flamengo's players. Having gone four games without a win, the red-and-blacks know the importance of finding their way back to victory with a good performance in front of their fans.

To achieve this feat and defeat the third-placed team in the Brasileirão, Ceará, who have not yet won in the post-World Cup period and also need a positive result, the red-black captain Leonardo Moura is betting on work.

"We have the whole week to work and try to turn things around on Saturday. We know it's going to be another difficult game, especially since there are no easy games in the Brazilian league, but we're playing at home and in front of our fans we have to win," he said.

The full-back believes the match against Corinthians will teach the red-and-black team some lessons. According to him, Flamengo needs to make fewer misplaced passes and come out more for next Saturday's game.

"We stayed behind, letting their team work the ball, and we misplaced a lot of passes. And they have a lot of quality. That's where it gets complicated. We only decided to really play towards the end and even created something. But it was too late. We tried to press, but it didn't work," he added.
