The striker's last match was in the Campeonato Carioca on April 05st. Flamengo faced Friburguense and won 1-2. Leonardo scored a goal, finishing off a cross from Gérson Magrão.

Due to the sprained ankle, the striker had a long period of physical recovery and is available to coach Ney Franco from this Tuesday, May 22nd.
